STEAMBOAT CONCORDIA CRUISE
The Concordia Lake Como steamboat is not a simply boat, it is one of the main symbols of Lake Como, as the same as its twin Patria. It was built in 1926 and it was given the name 28 Ottobre, but when the Fascism collapsed in 1943, the name was changed into Concordia.
It is so important since, together with the Patria, it could be considered one of the last survived samples of steamboat in Europe: their characteristic is that they navigate not by engine but by the water vapor, and they are moved by two big shovel-wheels.
This peculiarity attracts also the VIPs in fact, in 2010, it was rent by George Clooney…did you know it?
Every Sunday, until 17th September (25th June excluded) and on Thursdays from 6th July to 31st August 2017 the steamboat Concordia will operate some extra cruises with departure from Como and the Centre Lake area, as per schedules listed here below.
